I love...

Love.. today is ALL about the love... Everyone deserves to be loved... biggest problem I can see is we don't love ourselves enough... and it's not a selfish thing to love yourself... in fact if we showed our bodies a little more TLC we'd be a lot happier as a race... we have such a bad opinions of ourselves... we strive for 'perfection'...  but who decides what perfection is?! Some size 6 supermodel? Some editor of a magazine full of air brushed women? Every single one of us is perfect... that dimple... that gap in your teeth... that cows lick... that's what makes you YOU! and all those little things are adorable... cute... sexy... beautiful...

The world is full of self doubt... if we don't conform to a specific size... if our hair is the wrong style.. color... if we're too tall... short... skinny... fat... if our skin isn't clear and tanned the right colour...  someones going to judge us and we're at the top of the queue to pick out all the faults... the more you put yourself down... the more you believe it... and its just NOT TRUE!

This morning... on the day of lurve... when you're at the mirror... brushing your teeth... doing your make up, say something nice to the person looking back at you.. GO ON! That person is amazing.. that person is great craic... they're a loyal friend and honest... You're real friends will tell you just that ... You're awesome... and they'll be there for you when the self doubt creeps in...

So today... shoulders back... stand tall... and love who you are... on this whole planet of 7 billion people... there's only ONE you! No one else like you exists and that's pretty awesome!

Barmy or Balmy?! I'll get my coat...

Dear EOS Lip balm people... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come to europe... you won't regret it I PROMISE!!! Doll x

Now before you get all judgey I had three of these BEFORE I went to NYC, I have mentioned my trip haven't I?! ;P 

Firstly the name... EOS... Evolution of Smooth... promises super soft lips from a blend of oils, vitamins and butters... not only do they make cute lil lip balms but hand & body lotions and shave cream... The lip balms are lush... 

Raspberry, Blueberry and Tangerine were all delivered by the yankee cousins albeit by emotional blackmail but still I have em... then I hit Target... Now growing up in Oz meant Target was a regular shopping haunt for my family... it's like Pennys in Ireland... you just popped in for one thing and then had to go back to the start to get a basket because you ran out of hands... 

Target is a discount mecca for drugstore brands and the nearest one to Manhattan is up in Harlem but SO worth the trip on the subway! Anyone heading that way email me for tips and tricks! 

Once I got there and I turned the corner into the lip balm aisle... yes an entire AISLE for lip balms... there they were... the heavens opened and a beam of light shined upon them! Swoon! *thud* Strawberry Sorbet was a given, I mean it's pink for heavens sake ... Honeysuckle Honeydew was grabbed because the english lady swooning beside me had her eye on it and I just couldn't let that happen and Lemon Drop cause I mean it's Lemon Drop.. who doesn't love Lemon drops?! It's the only one with an SPF which is a little annoying but they are all so cute you can forgive them... 

The first thing you spot is the shape...they're like little eggs but they're so quirky and colourful... You can throw them into your bag and doesn't matter which way it ends up it won't spill or leak out... 

They're 100% natural so no artificial chemicals in them at all regardless of flavour... and the flavours... none of them overpowering and all of them spot on which is why they are a huge hit in the states... 

I have one in my bag at all times... I do have reapply a couple of times a day when I'm not wearing lippy usually after I've been in the pool ... but so far not a chapped lip in sight! 

I know they're now available on ebay/Amazon but watch out for the crazy shipping costs, these are $2.99 in Target but Amazon have them from $13.99 PLUS your shipping! 

Better off to cry on Skype to the cousins how much you miss em and they'll chuck one in the post for you! Well worth the runny mascara...

Go ahead... Judge me!

I know, I know... there's got to be a special 'meeting' for people like me... anyone who follows my instagram account knows I'm a nail varnish junkie... and it all started when my leader told me to paint my nails when I felt like the urge for a packet of crisps or something to snack on late at night... its works SO well I'm now an addict!

And they were EVERYWHERE... no amount of fancy shoe boxes or drawers could accommodate them...  last week I was inspired by a pic on instagram by fellow blogger Lee Kenny who also now a new mammy this week, welcome baby Lillian! now... ta da!!! 

Deep enough so when I win the lotto... I can do this...  

seeeeeee... I'm ALREADY being cost effective! 

Tangent... definitely no more blue polish... 

My love for 'Leinster' nails is clearly evident! eek!  

So, now, no more drama as to where where to store them... 

and if anyone asks do I have a certain colour, have a peek!

Its a total treat for me and worth every cent to have them all organised.. 

my inner OCD child is VERY happy!

all there in plain site, taking up minimal space!

Chic? Moi? Mais oui!

I am a member of the Chic Treat Club... sounds posh doesn't it!  What's this now you say? Well, for €15 a month (AND no sneaky delivery charge on top of that!), you get the latest  beauty products out there delivered to your door! I know that can sound a bit steep, but if you love beauty products, then you'll know that you're getting great value... the contents come to over €45 every month! Think of the money you'd spend on chocolate and junk food and put it towards this you'll feel a million times better believe me!

It's a mixed bag of stuff from skin products to nail polishes... sun care to face packs... Only downside is you don't know what colours you're going to get... in my first box I got a gorgeous Glossfinity pale pink from MaxFactor which isn't a colour I'd normally go for but you know what, I tried it and its def coming on holidays with me once I get the tan sorted and I like that!

The best part... it's just lovely... it's beautifully wrapped... and a real treat...all girlie with tissue paper and a box inside that you can reuse to store your goodies... This is my second month and I'm sticking with it not just because I love getting post that isn't bills but I'm trying new stuff whilst its still new! Find them >>> HERE <<<
