Kick ball... Manicure Monday

Firstly ... it's not really the REAL world cup... Kick ball mania is ongoing... being a Rugby gal I'm dodging most of it...  except the Aussie games and I don't really want to talk about that either ... but if there's a bandwagon.. you know I'm on it! 

So for a bit of fun... Brazilian World Cup nails... ta da... 
Renaldo or whaddevaaa his name is would be proud of me huh?!?! 

I used Revlon Parfumerie in 'Lime basil' (very handy for Paddys day/Irish type get ups and for tanned toes!) ... Kelly Brook - Sunshine Yellow (available in New Look at the moment) ... Essence 'The boy next door' (found in Pennys/Dunnes/pharmacies)... with some Top Shop 'Spilled Milk' for the little stars... 

It's all good practice for next year when the REAL boys will be playing!!! *runs away*

Barmy or Balmy?! I'll get my coat...

Dear EOS Lip balm people... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come to europe... you won't regret it I PROMISE!!! Doll x

Now before you get all judgey I had three of these BEFORE I went to NYC, I have mentioned my trip haven't I?! ;P 

Firstly the name... EOS... Evolution of Smooth... promises super soft lips from a blend of oils, vitamins and butters... not only do they make cute lil lip balms but hand & body lotions and shave cream... The lip balms are lush... 

Raspberry, Blueberry and Tangerine were all delivered by the yankee cousins albeit by emotional blackmail but still I have em... then I hit Target... Now growing up in Oz meant Target was a regular shopping haunt for my family... it's like Pennys in Ireland... you just popped in for one thing and then had to go back to the start to get a basket because you ran out of hands... 

Target is a discount mecca for drugstore brands and the nearest one to Manhattan is up in Harlem but SO worth the trip on the subway! Anyone heading that way email me for tips and tricks! 

Once I got there and I turned the corner into the lip balm aisle... yes an entire AISLE for lip balms... there they were... the heavens opened and a beam of light shined upon them! Swoon! *thud* Strawberry Sorbet was a given, I mean it's pink for heavens sake ... Honeysuckle Honeydew was grabbed because the english lady swooning beside me had her eye on it and I just couldn't let that happen and Lemon Drop cause I mean it's Lemon Drop.. who doesn't love Lemon drops?! It's the only one with an SPF which is a little annoying but they are all so cute you can forgive them... 

The first thing you spot is the shape...they're like little eggs but they're so quirky and colourful... You can throw them into your bag and doesn't matter which way it ends up it won't spill or leak out... 

They're 100% natural so no artificial chemicals in them at all regardless of flavour... and the flavours... none of them overpowering and all of them spot on which is why they are a huge hit in the states... 

I have one in my bag at all times... I do have reapply a couple of times a day when I'm not wearing lippy usually after I've been in the pool ... but so far not a chapped lip in sight! 

I know they're now available on ebay/Amazon but watch out for the crazy shipping costs, these are $2.99 in Target but Amazon have them from $13.99 PLUS your shipping! 

Better off to cry on Skype to the cousins how much you miss em and they'll chuck one in the post for you! Well worth the runny mascara...

Chic? Moi? Mais oui!

I am a member of the Chic Treat Club... sounds posh doesn't it!  What's this now you say? Well, for €15 a month (AND no sneaky delivery charge on top of that!), you get the latest  beauty products out there delivered to your door! I know that can sound a bit steep, but if you love beauty products, then you'll know that you're getting great value... the contents come to over €45 every month! Think of the money you'd spend on chocolate and junk food and put it towards this you'll feel a million times better believe me!

It's a mixed bag of stuff from skin products to nail polishes... sun care to face packs... Only downside is you don't know what colours you're going to get... in my first box I got a gorgeous Glossfinity pale pink from MaxFactor which isn't a colour I'd normally go for but you know what, I tried it and its def coming on holidays with me once I get the tan sorted and I like that!

The best part... it's just lovely... it's beautifully wrapped... and a real treat...all girlie with tissue paper and a box inside that you can reuse to store your goodies... This is my second month and I'm sticking with it not just because I love getting post that isn't bills but I'm trying new stuff whilst its still new! Find them >>> HERE <<<

Princess Product - #BOBBLOGCHALLENGE

This has just flown by! Week 5 of 'The Best of Beauty Blog Challenge' run by the lovely Samantha from All The Buzz blog who's running this challenge…  >>> HERE <<< and don't forget those tweety types can follow all the posts under #BOBBlogChallenge!

This week…  chose a 'princess product' and only one!!! eek! So I had a bit of a think and decided to do the one product that always makes me feel amazing… Less 'princess' more 'DIVA'!

Tom Ford Lip Color in Cherry Lush… That. Is. All!

Now you might tut and go 'for gawds sake it's only a lippy'… but it is SO much more… it's an attitude… its a statement and you know the feeling when you're wearing your sexy knickers and no one else knows… it's that! 

I first spotted this color on Rachel Khoo… the english chef in paris … I actually tweeted her, as did many others to find out what lippy she wears… the result… >>> HERE <<< 

I love everything about her style and simple make up… and her recipes are fantastic to boot! 

This is the lipstick you wear to meet your arch enemy! THAT interview… that second killer date! Then you just non-chalantly say 'oh THIS old thing?!' Pure envy I guarantee it! Everything from the packaging… to the scent… to the lasting power it has, screams quality… (but hey it's Tom Ford!). Its semi matt so you're lips won't dry out but you won't lose color either sipping your latte! The blue undertones suit my skin type and it does make your teeth look whiter… sly eh?!  

Yes, it's pricey but this isn't the kind of lipstick you wear this everyday … unless you've got the lotto win safely under the bed! €46 in Brown Thomas or I guarantee you'll get it cheaper online! 

Hopefully by the power of scheduling this will be going up on time! I'm away in NYC with the SkinnyMum for the week, first world problem eh?
