Plant to Plate burger range from LIDL!

With BBQ weather upon us here's some flavoured plant based burgers from the LIDL range Plant to Plate... Irish made, vegan and full of flavour what's not to love! I tried the curried cauliflower ones and they were delicious! Only tip I'd say is be brave when you flip them, one fast move and you'll be fine! The quarter pounders although the same size/weight have coconut fat in them that's why they're higher in SPs. Anyone tried them out yet? x

New range of crackers in M&S... Vegan, gluten free, high in fibre and wholegrain! I purchased the beetroot ones and they do not disappoint for that savoury fix! Portion size as per the box is 25g (9 crackers) so I've done the SPs for that... anyone tried them? x

Peace Pops!

Summers coming, YAY... and whilst we're all still here, we can pretend we're away in our deck chairs in the garden eating ice pops! Ben and his buddy Jerry are all over this... Cookie Dough Peace Pops are the latest addition to their freezer stash! I haven't tried one but it's on my radar!!! I picked up the box in Tesco to check the SPs and it was surprisingly small for 3 ice creams! Anyone tried them yet? Spill! x

Light cream crackers from Jacobs!

Before anyone starts on me, I know the original Jacobs cream crackers are 1SP each but for people watching their sugars, these are a good option if you like a savoury crunchy snack! Spotted in Tesco x

Plant based sausages... Rudd's!

Another sausage to add to the mix... plant based meat free sausages from Rudds... You'll get these in Tesco, Dunnes & SuperValu! Ones to try for the summer as hot dogs for sure! Anyone tried them out? I bought the white pudding this week to taste it! x

Veggie crisps from M&S

A new range of Veggie Crisps out in M&S... I've done the SPs per 25g serve but also per 100g bag cause these are the kinda things you can munch through a bag of whilst watching a film! Plus who decided on this whole 'sharing bag' situation anyway?!?! Would be lovely for nibbles in the garden in the summer when the weather makes up it's mind! Notions! Anyone tried them out? x

Marmite buns, hear me out!

You either love it or hate it... I'm a HUGE fan but I was dragged up on Vegemite and won't leave home without a pot, even on my holidays! So these will divide the camp... I'm a fan, and normally I wouldn't have savoury and sweet mix things up but these work! If you get a chance to try them you should!
Anyone else a fan? x

Mini hot cross buns - M&S

If you're a hot cross bun fan... there's' some mini versions out there that will give you your 'fix' without going too mad on SmartPoints... These are in M&S, lovely toasted with a bit of butter... and not too high if you can close the pack after yourself and just have one! This appears to be my problem!
Anyone tried them? x

Beefing it up!

Mr. Tayto always has something sneaky up his sleeve to reel me in! Two limited edition flavours out at the moment... these are the 45g bags, so bigger than the multi packs, hence higher in SPs... I tried a little of both and the beef brisket will give any crisp junkie their fix! Not even sorry! Anyone else tried them out? x

Getting dressed for summer!

Another great Irish brand to support! Berna's dressings are all gluten free, made in a nut free environment and made with 100% natural ingredients! These are full of flavour! Whilst you think they might be high in SPs they pack a punch, so a table spoon is plenty to add a kick to your side salad or as a dip! I loved the honey and mustard one until I brushed a little of the basil dressing onto a muffin with some garlic and toasted it... UNREAL!

Def worth seeking out for the summer! Anyone tried them out? x

Maltesers biccies!

It's all things choccie this time of year... it's worse than Xmas! Maltesers have brought out biccies! Both the regular Maltesers flavour and a minty version! Same SPs for both!
Anyone indulged?!?! x

Mint version (below) has the same SP values...

Vegan Power Bites - Sussed!

Fab little vegan snacks from Sussed! I'm a huge fan of their 2 Cal rapeseed spray oil. It's 100% rapeseed oil, nothing else added, you can use it as a dressing for salads and its 100% Irish! Always a win... Well the guys at sussed have a new range of products out and yum! I've tried the blueberry almond vegan bites and the peanut butter vegan bites and both are so good! Each bite is 6g (yes i weighed them all just to be sure!) and each one is 1SP! Bargain! Both packs contain 9 bites and because diet maths is hard, the peanut ones come in at 9SP for the 50g pack whilst the blueberry ones are 8SP for 50g so ya technically get one free! YAY!  Anyone else tried them out? x

Hot cross buns...

A couple of variations from the normal hot cross buns out there! I'm a massive marmite (Vegemite is better... fight me!) fan but I couldn't have them in the house or they'd be hoovered! Maybe closer to easter I can share them with the family but I cannot be trusted! AND I'm hearing so many good reports about them which really isn't helping! Nice to see the vegan ones back again too! Anyone tried them out? x

Top Nine WW friendly finds in - ALDI!

First in a series of my top WW friendly finds in all the supermarkets! First up ALDI! I'm a regular shopper to ALDI the specials every week are fantastic especially if you're a soup maker, you can whip up a pot of soup for a couple of euros and freeze it! But here are some of the regular WW friendly buys that I get in my local Aldi! Comment below if you've got a favourite one to share!
x

The Cowbelle LIGHT Squirty cream
This is 1SP for up to 13g which is perfect to top off a jelly or pop on a homemade scone... Be careful the regular pack is nearly identical so check it's got the 'light' on it... a mistake I've made myself!

Bramwells Lighter than Light Mayonnaise
This is a god send! Most of the lighter than light mayos are great but the consistency of this one is the best to me, can't even tell the difference up to 60ml is 1SP! Plus you can add garlic, paprika anything you fancy to pimp it up!

Dromod Boxty
This is a great substitute at the weekend for toast... it's so filling!
Perfect with a poached egg on top!
50g portion - 2SP

The Village Bakery Toasting Muffins
Literally one of my favourite buys in ALDI (after the middle aisle goodies that I usually don't need!). If you're following me on FB or Instagram these are my regular weekend brunch favs! Dead ringer for a McDs breakfast muffin! 3SP per muffin.

Passions Deli Lentil Curls
For the crisp junkies... Lentil Curls! Now before you turn your nose up at them, try them! 3SP per pack and you're not going looking for them in the bag! I personally hate buying a bag of crisps and getting fresh air! Lots of flavour in these and there's a thai chilli version too for the same SPs!

Ardagh Lighter Cheese
There's a couple of varieties of this cheese, the mozzarella one is fab for pizza wraps! There is a 50% lighter one but its like hens teeth trying to get it! This one is 30g - 3SP but so worth it!

Brannans 50% less Bacon Medallions
Perfect for topping the muffin above!
Even to chop up and add to your stirfrys or pasta sauces
1 medallion - 1SP

Walls Honest Chips
For when you're in the mood for proper chipper chips these hit the spot! I don't know what magic that sheet in bag does but it works! Last on your Mayflower curry sauce and lick every last finger!
per 100g - 5SP
per 250g (half bag) - 13SP

Free From Sourdough Cob
Lsst but most definitely not least... the Free From sourdough cob is fab!
Each slice varies in SPs the larger ones are most definitely 3SP the smaller ones on the side are 2SP so best to weigh them and be 100% sure but they toast perfectly and are great for making open sandwiches and toasties!
