SEEING IS BELIEVING! Week 2 - 8lb challenge!

Week 2 - Weigh in… Hello Dolls!

First mini challenge to keep everyone on their toes.. and its not too taxing… visualize your goal..  yep, it can be as simple as just writing it down somewhere you'll see it every day.. hang those jean in front of you! That dress that's a little too tight.. take a pic of it and use it as your screen saver.. or the icon for your mother on your phone.. every time she rings that dress will pop up!!! Sometimes we need to SEE the destination.. and a visual mood board is brill if you have the patience and space to do one, even on the inside door of the wardrobe .. quotes, favorite clothes, healthy images of women with figures you aspire too… think about it...  put that 'before' pic on the fridge..  stick a little quote that inspires you where you can see it… often … view some of the success stories online from weight watchers all over the world… everyone does it.. we see something and think.. I can achieve that.... from boys building muscles to mothers and their hanging baskets! SEEING that it can be done will reinforce what you've already started.. you're already plotting your own success story on here!

Have a google at 'weight loss vision boards' .. .something might spark you off! Having an image recurring over and over again means it stays with you.. trust me every time I go to the loo upstairs that feckin' dress is SCREAMING at me! But its working… it now goes OVER my head and will eventually zip up!! If it was in the back of the cupboard it would be long forgotten!! So get visual gals!

Here's my >>> visual board… its in my little laundry where I keep my weights and skipping rope but every time I go in there.. it reminds me I just want to be healthy and comfortable in my own skin…(apologies blogger is acting up adding pics... meh!)

ALSO…. this week I'm adding an exercise to do .. since its summer and the arms are out, kinda  … sorry kids but its press ups! Now if you can't do the boy ones.. do the girls ones (on your knees) .. and if you are stuck for time.. do them against a wall and be honest with yourself.. if you can only do 10 then aim for 10 every day.. either straight out of bed or before you hop in or BOTH! When you're waiting for the kettle to boil do 10 against the wall! Think of those strappy tops… once the sun plays fair!! AND *spoiler* someone tweeted yesterday its 6 months to Christmas.. I KNOW! AND…. wouldn't it be nice to have some toned limbs to show off against the sparkles!?! Those who are experts at press ups.. push yourself even further.. you do 20 .. this week try for 25 or even 30!

  1. I love your dress Skinny Doll. I am going to take a picture of a dress this evening and put it up as my Mums call alert, it's a great idea.

    Lost 1.5lbs tonight, still on track so delighted. Away this weekend at a wedding so that will be a challange.

Love the weight vision board idea, I did something like that in a 'happy vision board' kind of way, for those days when you're down in the dumps and need pulling out so I'll definitely be giving this version a go too! Not too happy about the push ups but possibly because I'm just back from the gym and feel like collapsing into bed but I'll give them a go. No pain, no gain! :)

    I'm down 5.0lbs this week - last week's shoes had an awful lot to answer for! :O

  3. Down 2lbs this week. Got my 5th silver 7 - total of 2stone 7.5lbs since January :-)

    Have my motivational tool - posted my before pics on my blog last night and am shocked at just how big I was. Def keeping me motivated to get as far away from that weight as possible and never see it on the scales again!!

  5. Down 0.5lb this week. This gives a weight loss of 4 stone since January. Needless to say I'm pretty estatic! It was a hard week this week, I was so good but the weight didn't want to shift. Frustrating!

    I borrowed kitchen scales but they were rubbish, only weighted large amounts accurately. Should I invest in the WW scales? Does anyone use them, and do they recommend.

    1. OMG 4 stone!!! ok I need some of your drive!!! That's amazing!! well done this week.. it can be hard when your body works against you... ggrrrr... re: the WW scales.. you can get a great little scales in telco for €5 and they are just as good.. the ww ones will give you the pro points values but i find them a little high tech.. I just wanna know how much it weighs! LOL Anyone else have them???

    1. to be honest I'm not a fan either cause of my wonky knee but not being able to wear strappy tops KILLS me! so the kitchen wall is my friend.. supposedly! lol Great loss! xxx

  10. Down 4.5 this week! I still don't believe it! I usually lose between .5 and 1lb each week so it was very surprising!

    PS. I was up 3 last week (emotional eating)so you only need to give me 1.5 petals!

  12. Staring WW today, got about 3 stone to lose but hoping to be a 14 again by my graduation in October. Thank-you for inspiration. :) Do you have a fb or twitter? It would just be easier for me to read on my phone?

Twitter - @theskinnydoll I'm there most days with all kinds of chat not just ww stuff.. I don't like Justin Beiber much and I tend to let people know! LOL I post a weigh in blog every tuesday and give it till Friday for people to weigh in and then do the chart.. if you want to join let me know.. and 3 st by October is doable I've lost 3.5 since Jan.. but its HARD work! xxx

    2. Brilliant could I please join? Had a naughty slip up today but have lose 2kgs since starting WW last friday so happy enough. I think my biggest problem will be snacking in the evenings and choosing a healthier option or none at all, getting very reliant on the auld ww 1pp yoghurts.
      Also, No one likes Justin Bieber. :P x

  14. Anon3 here!! Took a holiday this week so didn't weigh in, have a lack of motivation though and seriously need to get back on the wagon!! Aah! Always seems to happen after the weekend :( find it v hard I stick to the 26 daily points, I always go over!!! Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! :) x

    1. Hey.. at least you're not giving up! Are you using your 49 weeklys? or your exercise points? try some 0 PP recipes too... it means you can eat more at your main meal if you eat a 0pp breakkie or lunch... its so hard isn't it? hang on there though... xxx

    2. Hi Anon3, I recently went down to 26 daily points and am struggling too. What I have done is gone up to 29 points a day and that leaves me with 28 weekly points for night out etc. Once you force yourself to stick to it for one day you will be so chuffed it will motivate you to stick to another day until you have stuck to it for a week and have lost weight! Don't lose heart!!
