Weigh in #1

OK arse kicking time... WHY are you losing weight?! Ask yourself.. go on.. out loud!!! WHY? Cause you think you should? You mum said so? A cute fella at work? WHY? So many times people ask me.. I just need to lose it.. but they don't know the real reason WHY they should... or even want to... got an answer?!? did you just tell yourself a little fib???

We've only got ONE body... if we mess it up.. we can't replace it... (well not yet but I'm sure pretty soon enough... I digress..) Only a few weeks ago I arrived back from holidays feeling amazing.. I had drunk my bodyweight in water every day... I had fresh fruit for breakfast.. I didn't care for sweets and all my comfort hiding zones were FAR away... not a Pringle in sight! I walked and swam everyday... Yet here I am wrapping up and telling myself bit fat fibs.. that its cold and sure one latte won't hurt.. don't forget that scone thanks waitress!!! Sure aren't I made of sugar!!! I'll dissolve if I walk outside in this weather!!!

This week I stayed the same.. ggggrrrrr.... I didn't track properly and when my leader asked what goals I had set for myself.. I told her I had so many mini goals it wasn't funny... She asked me to remember what had brought me through the door that first day at weight watchers.. WHAT had driven me to walk into a room full of strangers and declare (not like they couldn't see for themselves mind you..) I'm over weight and I want to be a healthier happier version of me .. that is one of the best things about class.. every one has the same mindset.. be it 7 pounds or 7 stone... everyone knows how you're feeling... cause they feel it too... and spring, summer, autumn, winter.. they'll keep coming and going..  Just because its winter its an excuse to cover up in layers and wait for the panic to set in next spring.. it doesn't mean we're not damaging our bodies... Now...  lets get this next stone off for the new year and face 2013 with a sparkly smile! Its the year we'll all get to goal!!!

Now will someone please kick ME up the pants!!!

  1. Hey Doll No bother to you get your tracker out and you'll be back on track in no time. Down 4lbs at WI today over the moon 1.5 to get to goal Wohoo

  2. I'm the same as last week - BUT I did put up three pounds over the weekend, and that is currently gone. If I can get down 1.5-2 next week I will be happy as I'm going away and the jeans are a bit snug!

  3. I have been like that since the start of august and it was wrecking my head. Only lost 2lbs in all of august and september. I know how disheartening it can be!


    Knucked down last week and lost 2lbs in my WI last night so absolutley delighted. Hoping now that I am back on track once and for all and can keep getting this weight down!

  5. I'm down 3.8 this week! It's crazy because I haven't been tracking points or exercising as much because I've been sick. I'm sure it'll catch up next week, but for now I'll take it!

  6. Down half a pound today, yipee :-)). 1 stone 10lbs down now. Still 2stone 5lb to go, will get there eventually. Was at weightwatchers tonight and just heard about this site, think its brill ;-)

  7. Lost 1.8 pounds which I was happy with! Not expecting much next week: its my birthday on Saturday and I am away celebrating the whole weekend!

  8. I stayed the same this week as well! My leader said to me now is the time to dig that bit deeper and keep it moving. Just remember your reasons for doing this in the first place, we'll get there:)

  9. I lost 0.5 pounds this week. There were lots of birthday celebrations at the weekend so I'm thrilled I did't gain!

    1. 2lbs is AMAZING.. next time you're in a supermarket.. pick up 2lbs of butter and hold onto them! You'll be well impressed! x

  12. I'm down 2lbs. Hopefully that's the start of a downward trend cos there's been a bit of "lose a couple, gain a half" going on and I'm not happy about it! Bring on Christmas and a new dress size!

  13. I also need a kick in the arse. I didn't go last week because I knew I would be up. I'm between two stones and I have been up and down the same 7 ibs since April. I know what I need to do (have 3/4 strict weeks and kick arse of this stone) and most of the week I'm determined but then I just give in so easily. I'm so tired of talking about doing it but can't seem to find the motivation to just DO IT!!

    1. I have those weeks when I just can't face the scales ... but just bite the bullet and get it over with and start again... don't let it snowball.. I've done that too many times... Support is here and at your meeting.. we'll get there.. x
