Hitch your wagon....

Uh oh!!  The wagon is circling!!! Anyone care to join me?! After two weeks in the sun... a weigh-in to face on my return... Next Tuesday I'll be getting all religious and praying at the scales!!!  Its time to climb aboard and get 'hot for halloween' (yep the next challenge is in progress!!! And it's gonna be short but sweet!)

So yes.. Some of us stage dived off the wagon with gusto and flare... But surprisingly I noticed I'm all about the good choices.. So I'm learning something!! To be fair I wasn’t really “off the wagon” so to speak but I certainly haven’t had the ‘oomph’ and ‘yippee-iness’ that I usually have with my weight loss but I’m back with a vengeance!

There is a difference in life when we just roll with the punches verses when we have a plan, goals, measures, results and rewards. My experience in bootcamp (more on that soon!) had me so focussed but since then I’ve been on holidays, faffing about and coasting and it’s not as much fun. Time to focus!!!

If you have heard of the S.M.A.R.T. approach to a goal then its time to set one for yourself, and get set to check in for the Halloween challenge!

Here's mine!
S – Specific – Lose 15lbs
M – Measurable – Yes
A – Attainable – Yes
R – Relevant – Yes
T – Timely – by Halloween

  1. I think we all never do as well as we would like on holiday but even just making the right choice at one meal whilst away is a step in the right direction compared to what the "old" you would have chosen. Good luck with your challenge

  3. I've been off the wagon for 8 months now, time to get back on and remember how good it felt to be losing each week rather than putting it on!

I'm currently 12.5 and would love to be down to 11.10 by Halloween - I think 10lbs is managable - I have started running and the house is free of all sweets.

  4. Oh I'm with you too doll! Just back from a week in the sun and while I've prob been worse food wise today than I was all week, the booze def played a part. Dreading WI tomorrow but I'm hoping damage is limited to in and around 3lbs - looking in the mirror and clothes wise it doesnt seem too bad but who knows! Back on the wagon and would love to be down a pound a week by halloween - no idea how many weeks it is!! But aiming for 1 a week as always!!

  5. The wagon is running away with me at the moment! Had my WI yesterday and was down a nice little number but since then I've been munching on anything and everything (had the family over at the weekend and leftover goodies are baddies!) - it's probably down to the fact that I'm due to start college part time next week and I'm terrified so I'm turning to my old friend Comfort Food. I'm kind of disappointed in myself because obviously I haven't broken my old habits yet but sign me up for the Halloween challenge so I can give myself a good boot up the backside!

P.S. Congrats on the blog nominations, you deserve it - it's not easy being an inspiration for others and you do a great job. I for one look forward to your weekly posts to remind me that I'm not on my own in the big bad world of weight loss and you always have such positive words and good advice for anyone who needs it. Well done you! :)

  7. I'm up and down like a yoyo. Head hasn't been right since March, but clothes are getting tight again so I'm on 29pp this week and NO WEEKLIES to kickstart back and I'm eating more than I ever did. I don't know how this is possible. Hitch me!
